Workshops for schools
Over the past 15 years we have worked in hundreds of schools enabling children to create murals, sculptures, wallhangings and animated films on a huge range of curriculum enhancing subjects; exploring a wide range of key themes and supporting the development of important learning skills.
We work closely with teachers, and education and learning teams from museums, galleries and charities.
HOW WE WORK
Our workshops are run by 1 or 2 artists/animators. We enable children to express their ideas and create a lasting, high quality artwork to enhance the school environment and share with others.
Large Sculptures, Giant Collages, Cut Out Panels and Wallhangings -
4-5 sessions in a day with 6 - 12 children per session(depending on age) This means we can work with 1- 2 classes per day. These workshops can be run by 1 artist and will need the support of a TA or teacher.
Wallhangings/collages are the least costly and outdoor cut outs cost more as they include varnish,and paints. Please let us know more details about your requirements - size of space, interior, exterior etc ideally with pictures of the space and I can come up with a detailed quote.
Animated film making
2-4 SESSIONS PER DAY WITH 6-15 children per session - depending on age/project. We provide 2-3 animation stations with a max 5 children working at each station. This can be run by 1 artist but needs to be well supported - ideally by 2 adult helpers especially with larger groups. We also offer a 2 artist/animator run workshop. The end result is a 2-3min film which will be posted on the internet and can be downloaded made into DVD's etc.
Arts weeks and Projects
We love being involved in schools arts weeks and have recently worked with a number of schools to devise workshops for the whole week with in-class kits for children not involved in working directly with an artist. We are happy to help devise project plans to put into funding bids so do let us know your ideas /requirements, number of children you'd like to involve and we will come up with plans and costings.
